This online DeCarb-Pro session marks an important milestone: the start of the DeCarb-Pro learning program. The session opens with a concrete and inspiring practice example of emission-free construction.
Jos Kamphuis (Ballast Nedam), on behalf of construction consortium SAMEN, will share lessons learned from the Rijnkade Arnhem project, part of the Dutch High Water Protection Programme. The example is presented from the contractor’s perspective and highlights what emission-free construction requires from both clients and contractors in practice.
Why join?
This session shows what becomes possible when client and contractor share the same ambition: emission-free construction. You will gain practical insights into translating ambition into concrete solutions, with lessons relevant for professionals working on, or interested in, CO₂ reduction, sustainable procurement and climate-related decision-making.
While CO₂ pricing was not applied in this project, the example provides valuable entry points for organisations exploring how CO₂ pricing could play a role in their own practice.
Participation is open to DeCarb-Pro partners as well as interested colleagues and external stakeholders.
