Scaling Up Innovation Procurement in Europe: Key Insights from the IPTF Conference in Brussels on June 18, 2024

The recent IPTF Conference, titled "Scaling-up Innovation Procurement in Europe" (SIPE), organised by the Innovation Procurement Task Force (IPTF), convened on June 18th in Brussels. The event brought together industry leaders, stakeholders, and experts committed to advancing public procurement innovation across Europe. Designed with an interactive format, the conference aimed to foster collaboration and highlight pioneering initiatives and practices. 

Attendees participated in engaging sessions, insightful discussions, and networking activities, all geared towards promoting innovation in crucial areas such as the circular economy, green mobility, and healthcare. Among others, the Conference counted on the participation of relevant stakeholders, such as the European Commission, University of Twente, F6S, VLAIO, PEDAL Consulting, CIVITTA, SILO, UAP, Dutch Ministry of Defense, Municipality of Amsterdam, EIT Health, BME, Ticbiomed, URBACT, Municipality of Haarlem, Medicen Paris Region,EUREGHA, etc.

The Urban Agenda Partnership on Innovative and Responsible Public Procurement has been a partner and co-organiser of this event. Our UA Partnership will continue working as active member in the Innovation Procurement Task Force (IPTF) consortium to synergise the strengths and initiatives of its members in innovation procurement. It serves as a central reference point for stakeholders involved in innovation procurement, assisting in their capacity-building and scaling efforts.
